Living Faith

Print / Illustration

Scripture is living and active—still speaking, still growing. This poster series pairs meaningful Hebrew words and themes with plants that embody their essence. Together, they reflect the life, growth, and truth found only in the Word of God.

Life and truth, unified in one design.

shalom-1

This series features four Hebrew words: Abba, Emunah, Tikvah, and Shalom—each paired with a plant that reflects its meaning.

Abba, meaning Father, is represented by the calathea plant, a symbol of new beginnings, renewal, and transformation—qualities found fully in God the Father. Emunah, meaning faith, is illustrated through the mustard plant. As Jesus teaches in Matthew 17:20, faith as small as a mustard seed can lead to extraordinary, unstoppable growth through even the smallest acts of obedience. Tikvah, meaning hope, is represented by the iris flower, a symbol of hope shared across many cultures. Shalom, meaning peace, is depicted by the olive branch—a biblical symbol of peace, famously carried by the dove to Noah as a sign of restoration after the flood.

Through illustration, typography, and color, each poster brings its word to life, embracing God’s beauty and reflecting the deeper meaning found in His Word.
