Information Design

Overview: We collected 10-20 items of the same object of our choice and explored ways to categorize what was collected.

Problem: We were challenged to assess content, uncover patterns/outliners, organize content, and create a visual system that conveys the meaning of our designed arrangement.

Solution: I grouped by color and height to create subgroups within the collection. I went from shortest to tallest to create visual flow. I also treated the screws like letterforms giving them enough space to breathe. I tied the piece together with a quippy title to add an element of playfulness.

Result: I created a minimalist poster that effectively displayed the screws in a way that grouped the items into manageable pieces to visually consume.
